Watch your thoughts; for they become words. Watch your words; for they become actions. Watch your actions; for they become habits. Watch your habits; for they become character. Watch your character for it will become your destiny.

Wellness Tip:

Build a Mental Gym

If you want a stronger mind, get it to hit the (mental) gym. It’s all about being aware of your mental wellness and stimulating your brain with activities that boost creativity, productivity, and happiness.

Says Ness Labs, you can incorporate mental pushups – simple, quick mental exercises like 1-min mindfulness or writing down something you’re grateful for.

You can also learn a new skill, do something creative, or do some expressive writing. And of course, you also need to give your mind some rest.

Check out the full post here and start building your mental gym today. 🧠💪

Productivity Tip:

Stop Losing Things

Constantly looking around for your phone? Forget where you put your keys? Every time we misplace something, there’s a time and energy cost associated with finding it.

So, here are some ways to stop losing stuff:

  • Designate a place for items and always put them in that place
  • Say the location out loud when you put something down
  • If you have trouble finding where you parked, take a photo of the parking space
  • Make things stand out (e.g. put some brightly colored tape on the remote control)
  • Use tech like Apple AirTags on valuable items
  • Do mental exercises to keep your brain strong and healthy (see above!)

Routine Breakdown

Saira Khan, TV Presenter, Entrepreneur, Newspaper Columnist & Mother

Saira Khan

“If I don’t do my routine, I just don’t feel right,” says Saira Khan. Here’s her routine:

  • Wakes at 6.30 and makes her kids breakfast. “It’s a nice time to bond with them.”
  • Does 15 mins of breathwork. “I do 30 deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling. This energizes me and helps me to clear my head.”
  • Does her skincare routine “religiously” using her own brand called SairaSkin.
  • Walks 3 miles with her dog while drinking a bottle of water.
  • For the last 30 mins of the walk, goes barefoot to practice grounding. “I’ve only been doing this for a few weeks, but I love it. From what I’ve read, it’s a great way to tap into the Earth’s natural energy.”
  • Is home by 9 am for a cold shower. “I find cold showers invigorating, healing and really help me to sleep better.”

Why it works:

  • Family relationships are central to well-being. Bonding is good!
  • Stress relief, sharper focus, better sleep… breathwork offers plenty of benefits. 💨
  • Walking is good for the body, mind, and heart.
  • Grounding is simple yet powerful: it’s been shown to reduce inflammation, lower stress, improve blood flow, and more.
  • Studies support cold showers for health.

“I feel fitter, healthier and happier in my 50’s than I did at any other time in my life,” Saira tells us, “so I guess I must be doing something right.” It’s never too late to start a new routine – how are you going with yours?
